Well, kids, I'm not sure it gets more '90s than a soundtrack to the Beavis and Butt-head movie. Most of this one is fairly rough. The then-exclusive Nirvana track was the only real draw for me at the time. Unfortunately titled "I Hate Myself and I Want to Die". I think we all thought it was tongue-in-cheek in 1993, though I do recall it making me uncomfortable when I first heard of it. It was set to be the b-side to Pennyroyal Tea, which is probably the main reason the label pulled it after Kurt died.
There were ultimately three vinyl versions: a UK picture disc, a black vinyl Brazilian pressing, and a 2016 U.S. re-press of the picture disc. The picture disc used to sell for a fair chunk of change, but it no longer appears to. Perhaps the U.S. re-press had something to do with that. The Brazilian version is super rare and will be expensive if and when it is next sold.
