This was a fantastic compilation of Wipers covers. Really good stuff. The Nirvana track is great. This was originally released as a box set of four 7"s, limited to 10,000 copies (6,000 color, 4,000 black vinyl). There were a whole bunch of color vinyl variants of each of the singles. At some point, the label said there were ten color variants. For the Nirvana record, six colors have surfaced (plus black): clear blue, blue-green marble, green marble, clear, clear red, an grey marble. Some people will say there are eight colors, but two of those are really subtle differences in the blue-green marble color. Some colors are rarer than others, but the color box sets sell in the same general price range, regardless of the colors inside. The value has declined over time. The color one used to sell reliably in the $40-50 range, and now it is half of that. The black set has always been cheaper, but now they are pretty close in price.
The next year, Tim/Kerr Records released a CD version called Fourteen Songs for Greg Sage and the Wipers. That one had - you guessed it - six more bands doing Wipers covers than were on the vinyl set. It is common and inexpensive.
