Heart-Shaped Box: the first single from In Utero. There were a few vinyl versions of this one. First, there were three 12" versions, all on black vinyl: a U.S. promo release, a UK one, and a Dutch one. The UK one is the easiest of these to find, but they are all fairly easy to come by. All have gotten a bit more expensive over time, but it's been a slow increase.
There were a few different 7" versions as well. First, there was a UK one on black vinyl, which had painted, molded labels. There were two jukebox versions of this one - one with painted labels and a large 45 hole punched in it and another with unpainted labels. As with other UK 7" titles, the unpainted ones are fairly uncommon, but the demand for them has remained low and the prices have stayed low with them. The standard version is quite common. Prices for that one have stayed totally flat.
Germany brought us a red vinyl 7", which is fairly easy to procure, but sale prices for that one have risen quite a bit. Then, there was the French 7" - this is the gem of the bunch. It was also on red vinyl, but it was numbered. Others have hypothesized that there were 3,000 copies of this one, as no numbers higher than that have surfaced. Sounds reasonable. The French 7" has been the most valuable vinyl version of Heart-Shaped Box for some time, but it has been appreciating quite a bit over the last few years.
