In 2018, The Joy Formidable released AAARTH, another fine album. This one had several versions. In the U.S., there was a black vinyl version and a box set (which we will get to momentarily). In the UK, we had the standard black vinyl retail version, but also two other exclusive versions: first, there was an independent retail version that was officially on "Yellow and Magenta Splatter on Clear Vinyl". The reality was it was a magenta vinyl with yellow spots. Then, there was another version on yellow vinyl, which was exclusive to Rough Trade stores. This one was limited to 300 copies.
Now...the box set. This was available through the band's website and was quite expensive, but they tried to make it worthwhile. It came with another exclusive color of vinyl (red), along with a 7" picture disc for "Cicada", an AAARTH pin, a card signed by the band, and a booklet. On top of all of that, people who bought the box set were also enrolled in the "TJF Music Club", giving subscribers ten exclusive digital tracks over the following year. There were 300 copies of the box set made.
