The Radio: Live on WSKI 89.3 - Self-released SPTAPE006 Cassette, released 2019
This was a covers album first released in 2011 in Japan (as Ganbare!). Early 2012 brought the U.S. release of the album under a different name (The Radio) with different artwork. It was the first Whatevski release that was not exclusively digital. The track listings were slightly different - the Japanese version contained the Slackers' cover of U2's "New Year's Day", from the 7" of the same name, while the U.S. version had "Bitch" and "Volunteers" on it. The vinyl was available on three colors: orange, black, and purple. The orange and purple ones were each limited to 100 copies. The purple version was only available via Interpunk. It's a really dark purple color...it took the limits of my photography ability to make it not look black. The other two colors were available directly from Whatevski. The Radio was also released in Europe on CD, with different artwork from the U.S. or Japanese versions. The vinyl variants are all really tough, expensive finds now.
