Love Battery's first (and only) major label full-length, released on Atlas Records. There were lots of CD versions and a couple of cassettes upon release in 1995, but no vinyl. Until 2024. Bang! Records in Spain decided to bring vinyl to life for Straight Freak Ticket for the first time. I appreciated the effort to get this done. The actual product was a little disappointing - as with the Confusion Au Go Go reissue, they dropped three tracks from the original album. They also added one ("Illuminated Man" from the Nehru Jacket EP. And then they completely moved the track order around. I get that the original album, from the peak CD era, was too long to cut for vinyl on a single record without losing too much quality and volume. And the money probably wasn't there to justify a double album. But still...it bugs me. I'm happy to have gotten a vinyl release, but...at what point do you consider it not the same album anymore?
