More Oar - A Tribute to the Skip Spence Album

Birdman BMR-023 CD, released 1999 (U.S.)
Jericho CHO CD603 CD (UK)
Modern Harmonic MH-8072 2xLP, released 2019 (U.S.)
Contains the Greg Dulli song "Dixie Peach Promenade (Yin For Yang)"

I love the Dulli track on here - it made a couple of appearances in the late 90s and early 2000s with different incarnations of Dulli bands, but it was released on this comp in 1999 under his name, so that's where we will place it. I didn't immediately know about this comp when it came out. The Afghan Whigs performed it during a short 1999 live studio set called "Live at Studio X" (Ultrasuede Studios) and then it was part of the setlist for the inaugural Twilight Singers tour in 2000. I loved it in both places and then got ahold of a recording of this studio version. It was initially only released in CD form. In 2019, the comp was issued on vinyl for the first time as part of Record Store Day. It was a black vinyl double album, and it can be found now for less than the original retail cost.
