I am including this because I have to. And I hate that I have to. And I hate that this exists. This box set is 58...let's say "interpretations" of John Cage's 4'33", which is...the sounds that occur in the absence of music. It's a "three-movement silent piece". People treat this as a profound study of sound. I am in the "fuck right off with that shit" camp. So yeah, this is a 5 record or 5 CD box set of 58 bands not playing music, and the ambient sounds that occur when they are not playing music. Spare me. The vinyl version is clear vinyl in a crazy, beastly box. It retails for about $330 and ships from the UK. It's limited to (naturally) 433 copies and is, shockingly, still available. The one good thing I will say is that the proceeds Mute Records gets from this are being donated to charities.
