A Record Collector's Guide

About This Site

This site is a collector's guide. It is very difficult to begin a vinyl collection without good information, and there was no real complete source for the items I cared about before I started this project. Some have taken issue with the values I list on these pages. Well, the values here are rough approximations based on sales and auctions that have witnessed over the last few years. Many records on here have sold for much more and much less than the values displayed. At the end of the day, you will pay what you think something is worth. These pages are just meant to point you in the right direction.

Using information from this site: the may use information from my site provided you attribute it to me and link back to the site. Though it is flattering to see people use my text in auction listings, it is pretty annoying when I get no credit for it. However, you do not have permission to use my images (unless, of course, you provided me with them in the first place).

I could not have gotten this far without tremendous help from collectors and vinyl dealers around the world. I only own so much...for completeness, I rely on others who contribute images to the cause. If you have an image of an item I am missing, please . I am always looking for new and interesting variations of things I have on here, so please contact me if you have a good addition. For singles, scans usually look much better than photos. For LPs, do your best. It can be tricky to get a good shot of a piece of vinyl. When I use an image provided by someone else, I give credit in the individual entry. That said, there have been some contributors who have gone above and beyond. I must give a huge extra thank you to STOUTR and to Stan Ballard, who each provided an enormous volume of images at different points of this process.

I rebuilt this site starting from a template available on Free CSS Templates, which is an excellent resource for anyone who does not feel like building a whole CSS scheme from scratch. For the drop-down menu, I started from this tutorial. It had some bugs, but once I got it working, it was great.
