A Record Collector's Guide

Tuscadero

Mt. Pleasant b/w Nancy Drew

Teenbeat 139 7", released 1994 (U.S.)

Tuscadero's first single. Both tracks became crowd favorites. It was years before I first came across a pink copy of this record. According to the revamped, full-disclosure Teenbeat Records discography, there were only 200 pink marble copies made. I have seen a few for sale, but long stretches of time can pass between sightings, so if you want one of these, don't pass it up if you see it for sale.

The black one looks black at first, but when you hold it up to the light, it is actually a transparent brown with a reddish tint to it (see images below). There were apparently three pressings of the black vinyl version, in quantities of 800, 500, and 100. The only (potential) discernible difference between the black pressings is the Teenbeat catalogue that came with the first press.
